Ryan and Jane’s wedding celebration October 22, 2010

Posted by Danielle in Family Stuff.

My cousin Ryan and Jane got married last November.  They live in Virginia, near D.C., and they did a small wedding.  So this was their chance to celebrate with the Michigan relatives.  After this celebration, they were heading to China to celebrate with Jane’s relatives over there.  Then, they were heading over to visit New Zealand!  World travelers…

Emma and Julia

This was in the morning, before anyone came over for the wedding celebration.  We used the basket to hold favors for the guests to take as they left.  Emma and Julia had a ball playing in the big basket.

Ryan and Jane

Here is a picture of the newlyweds in front of all the cakes from Christine’s.  I had two slices of cake that day…. and I heard that all of them were excellent!   Jane did all the flower arrangements for the tables, and they were beautiful.  They also had potted mums on the tables for centerpieces.  The weather cooperated, and it was gorgeous outside, so we wound up setting up most of the tables outside.

Aren't they cute?

Mark and Jessica in the living room…

Playing in the leaves

Helen and Jack are playing outside on the lawn in a huge leaf pile.  Brings back memories, doesn’t it?

Mark on guitar

This is the best this guitar has ever sounded!  Dad got it for Christmas a few years ago, with good intentions of learning how to use it…. but it never happened.  Mark treated us all to a few songs, both that Sunday as well as on Saturday night.  Julia was thrilled… She couldn’t take her eyes off of him as he played on Saturday night.

Miles on guitar

After Mark got done  playing, all the little kids wanted to try it out.  Well, instead of letting them use the big guitar, we pulled Nash’s kid guitar out of the basement for them to play on.  Nash wanted it for Christmas a couple years ago but hasn’t touched it since, so we figured if someone dropped it, it wouldn’t be a big deal.  Miles was quite taken with the guitar, and he spent the most time playing with it.

Aren’t we cute?  Julia, Jessica, and me!
