Pink and White in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness October 1, 2011

Posted by Danielle in Crafts.

It’s time for Through the Craftroom Door’s Challenge #11.  This month, we have three requirements:

  • Pink and white must be the prominent colors
  • Create something other than a square or rectangular shaped project
  • Use lots of bling and/or pearls

For this card, I used some glittery cardstock from DCWV’s La Creme cardstock stack.  The heart card is slightly modified from a the beautiful filigree heart svg file that I got from Images by Heather M.  I backed the card with pink paper from my stash.  The ribbon angel is a digital image from McMahon 5 Designs.  I colored the angel with Copic markers.  Then, I also used them to color the twine around her neck.  The ribbon charm hanging down has the word “hope” imprinted on it, and it is from Blue Moon Beads.  I added some glitz to the angel’s wings with Frosted Lace Stickles.

This month’s sponsor for the challenge is Pizzaz Aplenty.  They are offering $10 in goodies!  Get ready for lots of bling and embellishments for your projects!

I am also entering this card into Flutter By Wednesday’s Challenge #173 and Crafty Catz’s Challenge #102.

Check out the buzz on this challenge at the TTCRD Ning site.
