Fun with the Kids August 8, 2012

My brother and sister-in-law came over this past weekend because he was standing up in a wedding. So while they were away at the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception we got to watch their kids. (I’m paying for it now because I caught whatever the girls had, but it was still worth it!)

On Saturday, our friends came over with their girls.  Every time Jack comes to visit, he asks whether Morgan is going to come over or not. Luckily, this time it worked out and they got to play.  Since it was so hot, Jack and Morgan ran through the sprinklers and played in a small wading pool.  Erin got a little bit wet in her wheelchair, and Emma was out for a short while — but she is not a fan of the sprinklers, so she didn’t last too long.  Julia was napping and missed out this time.

On Sunday, the boys (Dad, Eric, and Jack) went to the Tigers game.  Turns out, they missed the most exciting part — the come-from-behind win!  But it was a long day for them all, and it was probably better that they left early.  While they were gone, the girls stayed home.  While Julia was napping, Andrea and I took Emma to George George park to play on the swings and to feed the ducks.  When we got back and Julia woke up, we had a tea party.  The girls got Princess badges to wear.  They got to drink “tea” (which was lemonade) and eat a chocolate chip muffin.  Afterward, they made foam picture frames (as in they decorated a foam frame with glittery foam stickers).  We had a lot of fun.

I was curious if you ever thought of changing the layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

I chose the two column layout because I happened to like it. Changing the layout to something wider would make it appear for there to be less text, but it wouldn’t do anything else. If you’re referring to all the text for the Design Team posts, that is required by the DT. If you’re referring to the other stuff, that’s mostly for family, and they want explanation more than pictures.
