Congratulations to a Friend September 21, 2012

This card is for a friend of mine who just completed her college degree. She is rightfully proud of herself, and so am I!

For this card, I used my wonderful Cameo to cut the background file, which is from the Silhouette store.  The cuts are on Recollections cardstock.  Her favorite colors are hot pink and black, so that’s why I chose to use these colors for her graduation card.  The “Congrats” sentiment is a manual die cut from a Cuttlebug die set.  I cut it out of white cardstock and then used Diamond Stickles on it to give it a little extra sparkle!

I also cut a gift card holder to match, also using the Cameo and a file from the Silhouette store.

The gift card holder was cut using the same black and hot pink cardstock as the card.  The die cut and stamp used on the gift card holder are by Stampin’ Up, and I thought they fit well considering the occasion and the style of the gift card holder.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Oozak – Challenge #6

Scrap It with a Song – Be True to Your School
