At least, it’s almost time for those who are heading back to school this month or next!  I can hardly believe that August is already here – and, at least for Michigan kids, September will be here before we know it, and they will be back in school.  This week, McMahon 5 Designs is showcasing some back-to-school images that are just adorable!  She is a new release from Imagine That! Digis by Kris.

Isn’t she just too cute?  She is available in a black and white outline or in a colored version, too!  As soon as I saw her, I thought of my niece, Emma, who will be going into Kindergarten this year – sure can’t believe she’s already old enough for school, that’s for sure!  She is excited to be going to school in September, and I’m sure she’ll do quite well.  She will even have Big Brother Jack there to look out for her.

Card for Emma's first day of Kindergarten

Card for Emma’s first day of Kindergarten

This card is going to go to my niece, in celebration of her first day of elementary school.  The image is printed on Cryogen White cardstock and then cut out using the Print & Cut feature of the Silhouette Cameo machine.  I used the following Copic markers to color the image: 100, B000, B18, B21, B23, B39, E00, E11, E25, E29, E41, E53, G14, G19, N0, N2, N5, N8, N10, R21, R39, R46, and Y18.  She is mounted onto cardstock from my stash, which is accented with ruler-looking tape from my stash.  The “First Day of School” sentiment is from The Paper Company’s I Love School stamp set, stamped using Rhubarb Memento ink.  The sentiment and background (from my paper stash) are cut using QuicKutz Nesting Rectangles dies.

There are plenty of other gorgeous creations by members of the M5D Design Team, so please check them out here if you have a chance!

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
