Happy Friday!  Hopefully, if you’re experiencing the same weather as we have been (excessive heat in the mid-90’s on Tuesday and Wednesday, and now a high of 60), you are enjoying the temporary cool down – I know I am.

For today’s project, I am sharing a card I created with a sweet McMahon Five Designs image called Thinking of You.

Here is how I used the image and one of the sentiments:

Warm Winter Wishes

Warm Winter Wishes

For this card, I started with a kraft cardstock base using Neenah Environment Desert Storm.  The image and sentiment are printed out onto Cryogen Iridescent White cardstock, then colored with Prismacolor colored pencils.  I used Gamsol to blend out the colored pencils.  I used red cardstock from my stash to mat both the image and sentiment, and then rounded the corners of the image, sentiment, and mats with the 1/8″ Corner Chomper.  The corners of the card base itself are rounded using the 3/8″ Corner Chomper.  For the snow, I used Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive and some white decorative sand that I purchased at the Dollar Tree.  It gives the snow more dimension and a little extra sparkle.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s project.  Please stop by to see the other Design Team members’ projects if you have a chance.  You can see them here.
