Happy Friday!  For today’s Flashback Friday with McMahon Five Designs, I am showcasing a sweet image and sentiment about how precious friends are, particularly those long-time friends since “it takes a long time to grow an old friend.”

As the sentiment implies, this image is called Growing an Old Friend, and it is available for purchase in both jpg and png formats.  You can check it out in the store here.  It can also be sized to fit perfectly in the Spellbinders oval dies.

For my project, I started with the image printed out and matted onto Cryogen Iridescent White cardstock with dimensional adhesive.  I colored it using the following Copic markers:  B000, G03, G09, R21, R25, R29, and Y19.  The larger oval of cardstock is then matted onto a scalloped oval Spellbinders die cut on dark blue cardstock from my stash, which is then embellished with Dark Blue Stickles.  The flourishes are Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Accents dies, and the corners of the card are rounded using the Art Deco Corner Chomper.

If you have time, feel free to check out some more of the Design Team’s creations here.
