Happy Saturday, everyone…

Here is my project today.  It is a one-layer card, so I started with Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock.

One Layer Spring Card PT

Using a Spellbinders Labels Eight nesting die in conjunction with a My Favorite Things die, I created masks for this card.  I attached them to the card base using Scotch removable poster tape.  I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and a blending tool to create the base layer of the background and then spattered it with water droplets.  I have a chevron stencil that I used to add the texture.  I colored my Liquitex modeling paste with yellow acrylic paint because I wanted something brighter than white.  The paint thinned out the modeling paste, so there are some places where it seeped underneath the stencil a little bit.  After the modeling paste dried, I stamped the oval outline and sentiment (MFT stamps) using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The flowers on the corners are Petaloo Dazzlers.
