Here is a card I created using Gelatos, which are a new medium for me.  For the card base, I started with Eclipse black cardstock, embossed with the Anna Griffin Olivia Lace Cuttlebug folder.  I thought it mimicked the background stamp pretty well.  The background stamp is by Hampton Art, called Double Vision.  I stamped it on Neenah Heavenly White 80# cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it in with Bic Mark-It markers.  The.  The “tile” is actually two pieces of Heavenly White cardstock.  The top is colored using Faber Castell Gelatos.  I put the colors onto a solid stamp, spritzed it with water, and then stamped the image.  After cutting the image out, I cut out a border from another piece of cardstock and then covered that with Hematite Inka Gold.  Then, I attached those two pieces with foam dots to give it a little more dimension before attaching it to the rest of the card.
