Here is my card for the From the Heart Stamps progressive challenge.

I had such a great time creating this card.  I created the background using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors on watercolor paper.  I love how bright the colors are for the background.  Hamlet PigWit is printed on XPress It Blending Card and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I matted the image with some Mica/Metallic cardstock that is (unfortunately) no longer available, and it was my last piece!  I love how the dark brown sets off the image though, so I had to use it.  The three pearls on the bottom o the card are a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

As some may know, I love seeing the peacocks and peahens at the zoo.  They are amazing!

This card contains an image and sentiment from the Pretty Peacocks set by Imagine That! digis by Kris, and it’s this month’s freebie for the progressive challenge.

The entire set is fantastic, and this card was so much fun to make!  I printed the image on Cryogen cardstock and then used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to color the image. After cutting out the image, I mounted it onto the peacock feather paper from a Recollections animal paper pack and added the sentiment, also printed on Cryogen.  After snapping the photo, I decided to add a thin line of Cool Mint Stickles around the sentiment, and I think it pulls the elements together – sorry that detail isn’t included!

This is my beautiful niece, Emma.  She has finally lost not one tooth, but two!  It seems like one of those front teeth has been wiggly for a loooong time!  Judging by the photo, it looks like she’s pretty happy that the tooth fairy will be visiting.

Here is the card I will be sending her.  She loves to receive mail!20150318_212920_resized

The image is called Tooth Fairy Joy by A Day for Daisies, and it is printed on XPress It Blending Card because originally I was planning on coloring this with Copic markers.  Instead, I wound up using Prismacolor Watercolor pencils, with a little bit of clear Wink of Stella on the wings.  They worked amazingly well, considering this cardstock isn’t really made for use with water.  I accented it with Ice White  Viva Decor Pearl Pen, and then matted the image using a combination of Epic Black (my favorite black textured cardstock) and a piece I watercolored using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors on watercolor paper.  The larger piece of Epic Black is embossed with an Anna Griffin embossing folder.  The card base is Treasures Periwinkle 80# cardstock.

Daffodils are starting to come up in my yard.  The temperatures have remained above freezing.  Spring is on its way!  Officially, it will be here tomorrow at 6:45 p.m. EDT, but who’s counting the minutes??  Here is my card for the From the Heart Stamps progressive challenge.

For this card, I started with the adorable Easter Trio image printed on Cryogen cardstock, and I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors to paint the image.  After I watercolored the image, I used a Bic Mark It to color around the edges to frame them.  For the card base, I used some 6×6 Hambly Studio prints and a strip of Cryogen.  I rounded the bottom corners with my 1/2″ corner chomper.
