Happy Saturday!  For today’s project, I’m sharing a card I created using another foiled image and some Brusho.

foil

Sorry about the photo, but it was very difficult to get a decent photo of the foiled part since there was more solid foiling. The cucumber image was a freebie from the TLC Creations blog. The black paper is the gorgeous Epic Black from the Linen line which is currently on special for 50% off.  Go and nab some while it is at a fantastic price!  The cucumber image is matted on Solar White, also from the same line.  I used a combination of Lemon Yellow, Sea Green, and Turquoise Brusho on the white cardstock and let it air dry before matting it onto a card base of Epic Black.  The floral border peeking out from above the cucumber image is cut using one of the Pocket Pen Pal dies, cut from some scrap paper from my stash.  I inked it with Tea Leaves VersaMagic ink and embossed it using some Ranger Holographic embossing powder.

I’ve been having so much fun lately playing with Stephanie Barnard’s Flip It dies… with what we call “Birthday Season” starting soon in my family, I’m getting a jump start on some birthday cards.

For this card, I used the Decorative Flip-Its die.  This is a Bigz die, and I ran it through my Big Shot using Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock.  If you use this particular die, you will need to use a very sturdy cardstock, otherwise the card will not want to stand up and flip very easily.  It benefits from a nice, thick cardstock.  Since I didn’t have the coordinating die cuts for this particular card, I hand cut the side and center pieces out of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and Lapis Lazuli Mica/Metallic.

It is difficult to see, but I stamped a birthday cake and candles on the Lapis Lazuli Mica/Metallic.  The stamp is from the My Sentiments Exactly Cupcake B-day set.  It is embossed using Ranger’s holographic embossing powder.  The happy birthday sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Die-Namics First Place Award Ribbon set, embossed using Ranger’s clear embossing powder.

The inside of the flip portion is stamped using Nautical Blue Memento ink and a sentiment from the Jillibean Handwritten Sentiments stamp set.

Hello, everyone!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

For today’s project, I am playing around with background stamps.

For this card, I used a technique I learned in the Online Card Class Stretch Your Stamps 2.  I used some gorgeous PaperTemptress.com papers to create this card.  The card front uses 80# Heavenly White cardstock, Eclipse Black cardstock, and Jupiter Red Mica/Metallic.  Materials used for this card include Perfect Pearls in Perfect Gold and Perfect Pearl, Ranger Super Fine Clear Detail embossing powder, VersaMark ink, a Die-Namics die from the Happy Hellos set, a small Spellbinders scalloped circle die, and a Hampton Arts background stamp.
