Wow, I can’t believe it is almost December!  Here is a quick and easy Christmas card to make.

For this card, I used a Darice stencil with Christmas ornaments on Neenah Solar White cardstock.  The stencil has some light adhesive on the back, which made it easy to color with since I knew it wouldn’t move.  I used Spectrum Aqua markers to color in the ornaments, and then embellished them with a clear Wink of Stella pen and some gold Stickles.  The sentiment is by My Sentiments Exactly, and to frame it better, I went over the outer edge of the card using the True Black Spectrum Noir marker.

Just a quick card that I really enjoyed creating…

I was playing around with the Elizabeth Craft Designs peel off stickers and Richeson watercolor paper, and I colored them in as robins using Prismacolor colored pencils, blended with Gamsol.  Then, I watercolored the background with my Spectrum Aqua markers.  The background top and bottom edges are foiled using my Minc and some teal colored foil.  I wasn’t sure I like the harsh edge of the watercolor paper against the foil, so I added a strip of birds on a wire washi tape.

This will be entered in the following challenges:

Hope you are having a wonderful start to the weekend!  Here’s a bright, sunshine-y card for today.

For this card, I started out with some Light Yellow Basis 80# cardstock, and I embossed it with a Sizzix embossing folder.  The image is from the Unity Stamp Company’s Best Wishes & Blooms set, stamped on Richeson watercolor paper.  I colored it using the Spectrum Aqua markers.  The circles are cut using Framelits, and I mounted the watercolor paper onto some Emerald Green Classic Linen 80# cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Die-namics Happy Hellos set, and I cut it out of a toner sheet and foiled it with gold foil.

Okay, here’s my card for the From the Heart progressive challenge.  I must admit, when I first saw the title of the image, it had me confused… but I read it as “Pickles Says Hello” not “Prickles”.  However, regardless of the name, the image is a cute one!

For this card, I printed out the image on some Canson watercolor paper and colored it in using a combination of Spectrum Aqua and Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with these markers, and I love all the colors – particularly the bright ones.  Then, I used some rectangular dies to cut the image and background paper out.  I believe the background paper is from a DCWV paper pack; it is a denim design.  I used some green and white American Crafts baker’s twine for the bow, and I accented the banner, glasses, and butterfly using a clear Wink of Stella brush marker.

Well, with the amount of rain we’ve been getting it has been more like springtime…. but I’m not going to argue with that!  I sort of like not having to water the lawn.  On the other hand, the weeds have been growing like… weeds!  They have been crazy this year!

Anyhow, here is my card for the Imagine That digis by Kris progressive challenge.

What a great image – and a perfect one to kick off the summer weather that (I’m sure) is on the way.  For this card, I printed the image out on Canson watercolor paper and colored it using my Spectrum Aqua markers.  I did notice (after I’d taken the photo) that the popsicle in the middle of the cart is missing its stick, but I did draw one in before sending the card out.  The image is matted on and accented using some paper from my stash.  I added some yellow rhinestones to the corners of the card, too, for just a little bit of sparkle.

For today’s project, I’m sharing a sympathy card.

For this card, I started with a base of Earthstone Classic Linen textured cardstock.  Then, I used my Minc to foil one of the Anna Griffin background sheets, and I topped it off with some Neenah Solar White 80# cardstock.  I used a Stampin’ Up set called Love and Sympathy, and used Spectrum Aqua markers to stamp the flower and do the background.  The edge is colored using Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.
