For those who celebrate it, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Labor Day weekend with friends and family.  It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I hope you enjoy this card.

gold rose

For this card, I foiled some Eclipse Black cardstock using an Anna Griffin hot foil plate and the Go Press and Foil machine.  I am in love with the result!  The rose is layered on a piece of the ever-delicious Heavy Weight Clear Vellum which cuts like a dream!  Don’t be afraid to try it because it’s super thick.  The two die cut layers are on top of a piece of paper from my stash, attached to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110# cardstock.

Hello, everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Just a reminder: the January Winter Whites challenge is going to be ending soon, so get your creations entered… The challenge can be found over on the Paper Temptress Facebook page here.

Gentle Baby

For this card, I started out with a card base of Neenah Solar White covered with an embossed sheet of my favorite vellum, the heavyweight vellum.  It embosses like a dream!  The beautiful image itself (Gentle Baby) can be found at A Day for Daisies.  The image is printed on Cryogen White cardstock, a beautiful off-white shimmery cardstock, and then I tore the edge around the image before adhering it down to the vellum.  It is colored using Copic markers in the following colors:  B26, B39, B41, B45, BG10, BG45, C1, C2, C4, C6, E00, E11, E13, E27, E29, E79, R02, and Y000.

Good morning everyone!  Today, I am sharing a card that reminds me of a stained glass window.

Created to give a look like a stained glass window

Created to give a look like a stained glass window

For this card, I used the Eclipse Black cardstock as the base.  This is a wonderful cardstock, heavy enough to stand up even with intricate die cutting.  The die cut I chose to use is one from the Silhouette store, and I cut it using my Cameo.  I actually cut the file out twice, once in the Eclipse Black and once in a cheap white cardstock from my stash.  The white cut-out was used to know which areas of the background to color with my Copic markers.  I did not want to leave any trace of pencil or anything else that would possibly show through in the design.  The “glass” portion of the paper is the Yummy White Iridescent Vellum, and it sure is yummy!  It’s difficult to catch in a photo, but this vellum shines and sparkles through the coloring.  It catches the light beautifully!  And right now,  you can pick up the entire line of Vellum for 25% off!

Copic markers used in this project include B04, G14, V17, and Y38; the gems in the corners are heat-set iRock gems.
